Язык и стиль валлийских переводов Библии: история и динамика

Аннотация
Статья посвящена историческому обзору переводов Библии на валлийский язык и их влиянию на формирование национальной идентичности Уэльса в контексте религиозных, политических и социальных изменений. Начиная с предположительных ранних переводов XII–XIII вв., статья прослеживает ключевые этапы развития переводческой традиции, уделяя особое внимание первым полным протестантским переводам Уильяма Сэйлсбери (1567) и Уильяма Моргана (1588). Эти переводы не только заложили основы литературного валлийского языка, но и стали инструментом сохранения национальной культуры в условиях английского доминирования. В статье рассматривается роль валлийских библейских переводов в борьбе против ассимиляции, их значение в эпоху индустриализации и культурных трансформаций XIX–XX вв., а также современные адаптации, отражающие актуальные тенденции в развитии языка и религиозности.
Новизна работы заключается в комплексном охвате всей истории валлийского библейского перевода, включая ранее не изучавшиеся диалектные и упрощённые версии XX–XXI вв. Результаты подтверждают, что переводы Библии на валлийский язык служили не только религиозным, но и политико- и социокультурным целям, в итоге поспособствовав развитию и укреплению национального самосознания.
