Russian Journal of Church History has been issued since 2020 at the initiative and with the participation of the Department of Church History of M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow). It is a scientific and practical, peer-reviewed journal for historians and art historians. The main focus of the publication – all topics relating to the history of the Church, different denominations of Christianity, including Western and Eastern denominations, as well as Church art and archaeology.

A team of Russian and foreign scientists was assembled in the first two years from the start of the journal and has been working with the journal to the present day.
